Who doesn’t love a good plot twist? We hope today’s prompts will inspire you to look at situations in your writing from a new angle and/or a different point of view, the key to surprising your readers with unexpected twists.
- Your character notices that a stranger is following her. She pretends not to notice. The stranger follows her home and watches her go inside. When the stranger leaves, your character turns the tables and follows them.
- Your character has a superhuman power. The problem is, they don’t want it. Write about the conflict between your character, their power and the everyday life they’re forced to lead.
- Your character thinks his boss is looking for an excuse to fire him, so he decides to go on the offensive and get his boss fired first.
